Before starting the installation of these programs, please read very carefully the guidelines and be sure your device has all system requirements.
It is important you understand that there are two different options to type the IPA symbols in your computer. The most traditional and recommended form is using the standard keyboard. To use this method, you will need to type the Unicode codes that are in the link “Symbols Unicode codes” that you can find in this website.
The second method requests you install the “Keyman desktop” keyboard in your computer. To install this keyboard, follow the steps in the guideline. All shortcuts to type with the “Keyman Desktop” keyboard are located in the link “IPA symbols shortcuts” that you can find in this website.
For both methods it is necessary you install first the software “Doulos Sil”. Check the instructions in the guidelines.

Es preciso que conozca que existen dos diferentes alternativas para digitar los símbolos del Alfabeto Fonético Internacional (IPA) por sus siglas en Inglés. La primera forma y quizás la más tradicional, es usando el teclado estándar, para lo cual necesitará digitar los códigos Unicode que podrá encontrar en esta página web en el link “Symbols Unicode codes”
El segundo método para digitar los símbolos, requiere de la instalación del teclado “Keyman Desktop”. Para este procedimiento, por favor siga las instrucciones del manual. Para ambas formas de digitación se requiere primero la descarga del software “Doulos Sil”. Para su instalación siga los pasos en el manual.
